Cherry, Chocolate & Almond Frappe

Cherries, almonds and chocolate are three ingredients that go together amazingly well. I just love this frappe -it’s a beautiful sweet treat to have on a warm afternoon! If you can't find cherries raspberries would work really well too.

2 tbs cacao powder

300g pitted cherries

1 cup almond milk

3 tbs almond butter

2 tbs maple syrup

3 cups ice cubes

sea salt


Blend the cacao powder, 1 1/2 tablespoons of the almond butter, 1 tbs maple syrup, a pinch of salt and 1/3 cup of milk until smooth, pour into glasses. 

Add the cherries, remaining milk, nut butter and maple syrup to the blender and blend until smooth. Add the ice cubes and then blend again until the ice has broken down but still has a crunchy texture.

Pour over the chocolate.

Serve immediately.
